Short Listed for the Software Sustainability Institute Fellowship Program...
So coding best practices and quality for maintainability have become strangely close to my heart in recent months after significant amounts of my time being taken up correcting, debugging and sorting out revisions status for various sub-block codes within our firmware designs.
This prompted me to look into this small fellowship program (The Software Sutainability Institute https://www.software.ac.uk/) , designed to highlight and advance the quality of software code in both research and the software used for research.
The idea at a fellow level is to provide funding for ideas that can promote quality software, allow easier code sharing and promote the use of industry best practices to the academic world.
So I've been short-listed so we will see where this goes in the coming months. Next step is a presentation of ideas for the funding in early November.
Thanks.
